Ignis

Full Name: Ignis Scientia Ignis is 27 years old. He is 6'0" tall. He wears a purple and black patterned dress shirt with a black suit and black shiny red-soled shoes, along with shimmery silver driving gloves. He has short, light ash brown hair swept up at the front of his hairline and green eyes. He now either goes without glasses or wears sunglasses to hide the scars over his left eye and his blind right eye — injuries received five years ago during the events in Altissia. His friends have a few different nicknames for him — Iggy, Igster, Specs. Personality Notes Ignis has a composed, austere, and cool personality to contrast Gladiolus and Prompto, and primarily acted as the brains of the party. He has a different accent from the others — akin to a regal British accent. Ignis is a precise person who dislikes even the slightest ambiguity, and has a perfectionist streak and can lose his composure when things do not go his way. He was a stabilizing influence within the group and is the calmest and most analytical of them. Many of Ignis's most notable traits are exemplified by his culinary expertise. He is not particularly keen on cooking, but as a duty to perform, he takes it seriously. Despite this, he seems to enjoy cooking for others, taking pride in his performance and being offended when Prompto states he is looking forward to Iris's (or anyone else's) meals. He found the true joy of cooking to be in the faces of those he cooked for. Backstory Ignis had been friends with Noctis since early childhood. Though he worked for him as a retainer, their relationship was closer to familial in nature. He received a special education for gifted children to work as a staff officer for Noctis and acted as the understanding consultant for him. Since Noctis lost his mother when he was young, Ignis ended up filling much of that role for Noctis, including cleaning his room and encouraging him to study and maintain a healthier diet. Ignis preferred to do most of the driving on their journey because of Noctis's reckless driving habits. After things went awry in Altissia, Ignis lost his sight when he used the Ring of the Lucii to save Noctis's life. Even so, he refused to give up on his duties toward Noctis and the others. Current Whereabouts: He has spent the past five years training and learning to function without his sight — including learning to hunt daemons and learning to cook again. He now claims to be more capable than the others because he is more accustomed to the dark than anyone else.
