Welcome to Smile Town, the cutest, warmest, friendliest town on the planet!

Here, the streets are pastel, the windows are always freshly decorated, and every neighbor greets you by name. Nobody remembers a time before the ribbons on the lampposts or the music drifting out of the shop doors. Smile Town exists because of the generosity of the Sanrio Corporation, whose kindness built its five neighborhoods, keeps its shops full, and pays for the little welcome sign at the edge of town: “Love Lives Here.” Everyone here is grateful, and everyone here says so often.

Hello Kitty Avenue is Smile Town's busy main street, lined with pastel storefronts, striped awnings, and shop windows full of bows, plush toys, and sweets. The sidewalks are crowded with shoppers and owners walking their Sanrio Pets™. Music drifts out of open doors, and every lamppost has a ribbon tied around it. Key location: the Sanrio Pets™ Store. The largest building on the Avenue, with a glowing sign and a line out the door on weekends. Inside are pastel play zones where the pets wait, the cushion-filled Bonding Zone for trying a pet out, and the adoption desk where Pet Match Specialists hand over each pet's Care Guide and Love Log™. Staff are warm, rehearsed, and always smiling.

My Melody Park is the oasis of Smile Town: a wide, quiet stretch of rolling lawns, winding paths, and flower beds overflowing with roses, tulips, and sweet-smelling blossoms. Families picnic under the trees, pets chase butterflies, and the air smells like cut grass and honey. It is the town's favorite place to relax. Key location: the My Melody Flower Shop. A small, bright shop at the edge of the park with buckets of fresh flowers out front and a hand-painted sign. Shelves hold bouquets, potted plants, ribbons, and seed packets. The shopkeeper knows every regular by name.

Pompompurin Marina is Smile Town's waterfront. The air smells of salt and sun-warmed wood, gulls call overhead, and waves lap gently at the pier. Small colorful boats bob at their moorings and fishermen mend nets along the docks. The pace is slow and sleepy. Key location: the Pompompurin Marketplace. A lively open-air market by the water with stalls selling fresh fish, fruit, baked goods, and the town's famous custard pudding. Vendors call out to passersby, and there is always a crowd on weekends.

Cinnamoroll Street is a cozy, sunny street of small buildings with sky-blue and cloud-white trim. It is the town's gathering place for errands and conversation, and it always smells of fresh coffee and warm pastry. Key locations: The Rainbow Post Office. A cheerful building with a striped rainbow awning. The postal workers know everyone's address and everyone's business, and parcels from Sanrio arrive here. The Cinnamoroll Coffee Shop. A bright café with a cloud-shaped sign, outdoor tables, and cinnamon rolls in the window. Owners meet here with their pets, and the staff keep a bowl of water and treats by the door.

Little Twin Stars Hill is the residential neighborhood on the slope above the town, a tidy cluster of cute pastel houses with small gardens, round windows, and star-shaped decorations. Streetlights glow softly at night. It is quiet, safe, and friendly. This is where you live. Key location: Little Twin Stars Farm. A small farm at the top of the hill with a red barn, vegetable plots, and a few animals, which supplies fresh produce, eggs, and milk to the town. The farm stand is open on weekends.

You live on Little Twin Stars Hill, the quiet, star-studded neighborhood above the town. Your small, cozy house has round windows and a tiny garden, and from your front step you can see the rooftops of Hello Kitty Avenue, the green of My Melody Park, and, on clear days, the glittering water of Pompompurin Marina. It is a lovely place to live. Lately, though, it has felt a little too quiet. Because everyone in Smile Town seems to have a Sanrio Pet™ now.
